Nassin is a Programme Manager at Challenge Works. At Challenge Works, Nassin delivers global and local open innovation programmes that bring together ideas and partnerships to drive positive social impact. She specialises in complex societal and urban challenges, combining strategic vision with hands-on operational delivery.Her portfolio spans major international initiatives, including the $9M Sustainable Cities Challenge (global challenge to advance sustainable mobility in cities) and the Canada-funded Afri-Plastics Challenge (aimed at reducing marine plastic pollution in Sub-Saharan Africa), alongside regional efforts like the £1M Mayor’s Big Ideas Challenge in West Yorkshire (creating locally driven solutions to health inequalities).Before Challenge Works, Nassin built a diverse international background across Kenya, Somalia, and Bhutan. Her experience ranges from developing adaptive operational systems and impact monitoring frameworks for social enterprises to facilitating cross-sector UN (FAO) initiatives in rural development and humanitarian relief. She is adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments and coordinating cross-cultural teams.Nassin holds a BSc in Geography and Environment from the LSE and is trained in Socio-Economic and Gender Analysis. Outside of work, she enjoys learning new languages and exploring nature.
