We’re an Official Nominator for The Earthshot Prize

The search for the Winners of The Earthshot Prize 2025 has begun and we’re proud to be an Official Nominator.
Launched in 2020, The Earthshot Prize is an ambitious global prize and platform for impact, designed to discover, celebrate and scale the best solutions to help repair our planet. As an Official Nominator, we are one of hundreds of organisations from across the world, invited to submit nominations covering all five Earthshot categories. We have been selected for our ability to identify the most impactful solutions across all sectors, from grassroots to businesses.
We will be nominating individuals, communities, businesses and organisations whose solutions make the most progress towards achieving the five Earthshots. Solutions that will improve life for us all and for generations to come. The Earthshot Prize will consider solutions which make tangible progress towards one of the five Earthshots. They should be beyond the idea stage, have tested their solution in-field or with target audiences, and be at a ‘tipping point’ for scaling their impact within the next five years.
The Earthshots:

1. Protect and Restore Nature
Species all over the world face extinction as their homes are destroyed, but destroying nature threatens our lives too. Forests and natural land are vital to human health and happiness, helping to prevent global warming and producing oxygen that we breathe. We must act now to protect our future.

2. Clean our Air
Millions of people all over the world breathe toxic air every day, causing countless deaths that could be prevented. We refuse to accept this – clean air and healthy lives are within our reach.

3. Revive our Oceans
Warmer temperatures, pollution and harmful fishing practices are having devastating impacts on the ocean, putting life underwater in jeopardy. But this decade we can choose to make our ocean healthy.

4. Build a Waste-Free World
The world we have built is not like this; we throw everything away, and this is harming our planet. Although, we have the power to build something better.

5. Fix our Climate
Carbon in the atmosphere is making our planet warmer, to levels which threaten all life on Earth. It is not too late if we act now, however, we can make the world a better, more sustainable home for everyone.
Nomination process
After nominations are submitted, they are screened as part of a rigorous assessment process culminating in the selection of five Winners by the Earthshot Prize Council.
Finalists and Winners are given an incredible platform to amplify their work, and additionally receive tailored support from The Earthshot Prize and our network of NGOs, businesses, governments, funders and expert mentors. The five Winners also receive a one-of-a-kind award and a £1 million grant to scale their impact. The Earthshot Prize also celebrates and accelerates hundreds more innovators and their solutions beyond the Finalists through their innovative finance platform LaunchPad and other initiatives.
