Marie works as an Assistant Programme Manager at Challenge Works across the Sustainable Cities Challenge and the Mombasa Plastics Prize.
Prior to Challenge Works, she was a senior analyst at Open North, a non-profit helping communities create and implement their open data, data governance and smart city initiatives. She played a key role in Montréal en commun, Montréal’s smart city project, overseeing data governance for an innovation community addressing food access, mobility and regulations through a $50 million grant from Canada’s Smart Cities Challenge. Furthermore, she offered guidance to ensure the data governance of Université Laval’s PULSAR health databank was in line with the principles of open science as part of a project funded by the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology.
She holds a B.A. with honours in International Development Studies from McGill University and an MSc in International Public Policy from University College London (UCL).
