At Challenge Works, we use challenge competitions to find innovations and solutions to gaps in understanding and societal issues our world faces. We catalyse breakthroughs in frontier technology to improve the lives of those around us. More challenge prizes in AI – like the government’s Manchester Prize, and our Longitude Prize on Dementia – could steer the direction of this fast-advancing technology towards innovations that benefit our society and economy.

We’re hosting a workshop to explore opportunities for AI innovation in the UK, bringing together experts and stakeholders in machine learning to ideate and help create change. As such, we’re inviting key entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers and more to join us, to discuss and forecast how we can use innovative applications of artificial intelligence to improve our quality of life. This is a unique chance to have a say in how we could, or should, be using AI to better our society.

We’ll share the outcomes with attendees, stakeholders in government and R&D funders, along with key findings publicly. We’ll also use any major or unforeseen insights from the event to inform and shape our future prize programmes.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday the 23rd of May 2023 at our London office. Alongside hearing from thought-leaders, discussion and ideation, we will provide the opportunity to network and enjoy refreshments.

Location: Challenge Works, London, UK

Date: 23 May 2023

Time: 12.30 – 5pm
